Though I have read Love Lost, Love Unexpected and am now half way finished with Love Uncharted, I just had to pause in my reading to post this review. This review will stand for all 3 books.When reading the words that make up this incredible story, written by a very talented writer, you will experience the sensational exposure of love's most rawest emotions on your exposed nerve endings.
Love Belvin will put you on a roller coaster and guide you through the caverns of despair, only to then put you on the strings of a bow and catapult you like an arrow into the stratosphere of the stars, only to have you land to earth's surface to experience the journey once again.
Such is the love story that encompasses the lives of of our Azmir Devine Jacobs and Ms. Rayna Brimm. Two star crossed lovers trying to overcome issues that constantly arise to bring separation between their love for one another. Ms. Love Belvin renders her readers mute with the various situations our lovers are projected into, in order to understand and accept their flammable attractions towards each other.
Her scorching love scenes will have you reaching for whatever it takes to cool your feverish brow. Even if you do not smoke, you will find yourself reaching for something to fill your lungs with, so as to stop your emulation of the screams experienced by Rayna at the hands of her lover Azmir. That's how good this writer is, she infuses her very descriptive imagery into your very soul.

How do you recognize a writer's greatness?
Answer: When the written characters refuse to release you even during your sleep, but continue to dance on the peripheral edges of your sleep induced mind - taunting you, taunting you until you are forced, almost against your will, to once again reintroduce themselves to your awakened state. Making you glad that you can be relegated into the presence of greatness once again. Which Ms. Love Belvin possesses in abundance.

I wish there was a way to rate the entire series. These books have you feeling invested in each character. You want to know more and help if you can. Rayna was frustrating but you know what she is like every woman that has issues. You can't expect someone that has that much damage to handle everything like they have not been damaged. You can only hope that they have someone like Azmir (Fine to Death) Jones by their (your) side to help you with your journey and growth, Which goes back to Ms. Belvin Love please let me sleep or work. You have me so wrapped up in these books I can barely keep my eyes open from staying up trying to get that last page in. THIS series like ALL of her book is (are) AMAZING
I can only say that this book three was okay. It was definitely not one of my favorites, very emotional. I felt like Azmir went a little overboard trying to break her down, I know he was still a G, but gosh that was a little much. I never give spoilers in my reviews, so you will just have to read the books. I still loved the characters, the storyline continued to flow, minus the use of misused and missing words. I still have to say the use of the anatomy language was a little over board in the books, but no less, it was a good read. Again very emotional how he tried to break her down, and his up holding of Dawn, really got on my nerves. This was an okay read for me.
Wow! (The first word that came to my mind after finishing this book.) Rayna and Azmir's relationship gets more intense by the second. They are both so emotionally damaged, that they don't see how it may be irreparable for them to be together.
This series is strong in emotions. Azmir loves Rayna. Rayna loves Azmir. She is a beautiful, strong professional woman who feels that she does not need a man. But, low and behold she meets Mr. Jacobs. Azmir Jacobs is a strong, gorgeous, 6'4", well built, milk chocolate...did I mention successful and RICH man. And he courts her something fierce! They are both immediately awe struck with one another; and his chase is on.
Azmir is so Alpha, he seems to have invented it! But, looks are not always what they seem. He has some SERIOUS skeletons in his repertoire, as well as numerous"situations" that need his immediate attention and need handling asap! Azmir is a complicated man. Several facets and faces, as well as personalities; many of which he seems not to fully realize himself. Rayna too has many issues herself. She seems to realize that she is broken and in need of urgent repair. But, fights it tooth and nail with Mr. Jacobs.
They each have such a fear of love and all it encompasses; but they also long for it subconsciously. This series is long, but so well worth it. I read all three books in a manner of days, because the story is so engrossing. My only complaints are 1. The mention of a Detective and his investigation. What happened with that? And 2., the overuse of "big words." There were so many that they seemed too much. Now, I'm an educated woman with several degrees. But, some of the wording seemed too exaggerated. It became overwhelming. So much so, that some of the words needed a definition and some just did not make sense. This become a nuisance and was cumbersome at times. For instance, "I gave a mirthless chuckle...trying to sound convincing and distract from my disingenuous" or "evervescently feminine" (dictionary meaning fizzing or foaming feminine). Say what?? Huh.
And these are just two examples. I was always taught that as a writer you wanted to appeal to your audience and for them to be able to relate to your writing. So maybe just a few less "big words." It comes off that you're trying to prove that you are intelligent, and we as the readers already know that by your writing. Just my thoughts. And lastly, 3. Towards the latter part of each book it appears to have been edited by a different person. For instance, the writing is not as polished and there are incidences of different writing tense; first person and third person/ present and past tense in the same sentence.
Overall a really, really good series. And I look forward to final segment between Rayna and Azmir.
